Hi Sarah,

I’ve been thinking about our annual community Easter event, and I’d really love for us to make it even better than last year. The turnout was great, but I feel we can improve the overall experience by adding more interactive and memorable activities for families. I’d like the event to feel more organized, engaging, and fun for both children and parents. If we plan carefully, I think we can create something that people will talk about long after it’s over.

For the scavenger hunt, I still think it’s a great idea to have children search for hidden items around the area. However, I was thinking we could make it more exciting by adding a clue-based task instead of just simple searching. For example, each location could include a small riddle or hint that leads to the next spot. This way, children would need to think and work together, which would make the activity more interactive and rewarding.

I also thought about including an Easter egg painting station, since kids usually enjoy creative activities. However, I’m a bit concerned about how messy paint can get, especially with a large group. Maybe we could use markers or felt pens instead, which would be easier to manage and clean up. To make it more exciting, we could organize a small contest and give a prize for the most creative or colorful egg design at the end.

In terms of decorations, I think we should go with a bright and festive theme using bunnies, eggs, chicks, and flowers throughout the space. To make it more engaging, we could prepare some simple templates and let the children color and decorate a few of them themselves. This would not only help us with decorations but also give the kids a sense of involvement and creativity, since they would see their own work displayed during the event.

Finally, I was thinking we could reach out to some of the parents and ask if they would be willing to volunteer. They could help by bringing snacks, drinks, or small treats for the children, which would really add to the atmosphere. We could also ask if anyone would like to contribute small prizes for the games and contests. This would help reduce our costs and make the event feel more like a true community effort. So think please think over these suggestions and let's bring them to the community board meeting tomorrow.

See you then,
Emily
